EU Locator form from UK

Apologies as I'm sure this has been asked many times before

Can you complete the form at any time before travelling to Italy from UK?

I know the UK form to return has to be done in the 48 hours before you come home but I cant see a time limit for the EU one going out.

Thanks for your help.

Need both Eu DPL FORM and also Self Declaration form?

To enter Italy from the US, do I need to do BOTH the EUROPEAN DIGITAL PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM (dPLF) link he https://app.euplf.eu/#/

and also the SELF-DECLARATION FOR ENTRY INTO ITALY FROM ABROAD - link: https://www.esteri.it/mae/resource/doc/2020/08/modulo_rientro_da_estero__26_08_20_inglese.pdf

Or do you just need one of them? And, any other forms needed? We are fully vaccinated and flying out tomorrow from NYC to MXP. Thank you!

COVID testing at Malpensa Airport - Milan for return to US

Hello,

Sorry if this has been asked before - I was unable to find an answer by search.

We're planning to head to Italy and Switzerland in a couple of weeks. Our return airport will be Malpensa and we were told that there's rapid PCR testing there offered at a cost of 36 €. Has anyone here gone through the process? We attempted to book our test for our date of return, but had a hard time with the website (we don't read/speak Italian and the website won't translate). Is anyone familiar with what we do for the Codice Fiscale mandatory field?

We've attempted to get help via email (tamponimalpensa@grupposandonato.it), but our questions are only met with a standard form response.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated!

Trip to Positano, Capri and Rome

Hey Everyone... Flying to Italy on Saturday, July 17th with my wife for our wedding anniversary. We are both fully vaccinated. I've been doing as much research as possible but can't find certain answers so any help is appreciated! Sounds like to get into Italy, we need our vaccination cards in hand and to fill out the digital passenger locator form. Is that all we need? No covid test required is what I am seeing.

Also - my understanding is we must test within 3 days of departure from Italy back to NYC. With that said, we are currently doing 2 nights in Positano and 1 night in Capri and then 2 nights in Rome (out flight is out of Rome). We wanted to do 2 nights in Positano, 2 in Capri and 1 in Rome but were worried it may be more difficult to find the right covid test in Capri vs Rome? If anyone could help provide info on exactly which covid test we need to get back to USA, that would be helpful. I checked the website and it was very vague. Also, do we just show our results when we check in at Rome airport or is there an online form?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Passenger Locator Forms (PLF) for entering Italy

Hi, everyone! I'd really like some help please!

Next month, I shall be flying to Rome from my home on the Greek island of Crete for a few days. I have read the notes re the PLF on the Italian Government website & am a bit confused.

I've completed PLF forms before with no problem, but I have had direct flights to & from the UK. This time, I'll be travelling from my local airport at Chania, to Athens Airport, where I have to change flights to fly into FCO.

So, my question is for anyone living in the EU who has changed flights in the country where they live, then flown into Italy. For instance, if you live in France you might have had to fly from your local airport to Paris to get the flight to Italy.

So, my question is : did you complete the PLF stating both flights, or only the one into Italy? Did you have any problems & did you make the right decision?

Thanks very much!

Vaccinated US citizens entering from Romania and Greece

My husband and I are vaccinated US citizens and have been traveling around for several weeks now. We started in Greece, then made our way to Romania last Monday. We will be heading to Rome on Wednesday. We know US tourists can travel to Italy for tourist reasons now (until July 30th?), but we want to clear up any possible issues in being in both Greece and Romania recently.

On the US embassy website (https://it.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/), it points out two forms I think we have to fill out before entry: this self declaration form (https://www.esteri.it/mae/resource/doc/2020/08/modulo_rientro_da_estero__26_08_20_inglese.pdf) and this EU digital passport locator form (https://app.euplf.eu/#/).

My questions a

1) Do we still have to fill out these forms if we are coming from the EU (Romania)?

2) Does the self declaration form need to be printed off and filled out? Or can we fill it in as a PDF on a computer and save it to show at the airport?

3) How soon will these forms need to be filled out? I know that in Greece the PLF needed to be filled out more than 24 hours before the flight. Is that the case with these forms?

4) Is the "until July 30, 2021" date just a precaution in case cases spike again? Like is it likely they will just extend this deadline, or will we more likely need to make our way out on the 30th?

5) Is there anything else I am missing? I know we got stamped in and out of Greece/Romania because Romania isn't part of the Schengen area; are there any other issues with entering back into the Schengen area?

Thanks in advance for the help! We are used to traveling quite a bit pre-covid and only worrying about visas; covid adds a whole new stress.

Passenger locator form - Local Health Authority

Could someone explain me to whom should I call when I have to notify my arrival to Italy to the Local Health Authority?

COVID tests for Americans also apply to domestic travel?

Hello,

I am a fully vaccinated American, I arrived in Milan from the US on August 31, and have been in Italy since.

I am traveling to Sardinia (via plane) on September 4. When I booked these flights, I was aware that all I needed to show was my equivalent of the Green Pass. However, now, there are new regulations for vaccinated Americans needing to show a recent negative tests if they have been in the US within the past 14 days. I know this applies to Americans entering Italy from overseas, but does it apply to Americans who have only been in Italy for less than 14 days?

I know I do not need to fill out a new passenger locator form, but I am confused about the test.

I can't seem to find that information anywhere.

If anyone has any information on this, it would be much appreciated!

Entering Italy from USA with 10 yo end of September

Hoping somebody can guide me to where I can find out if our 10yo will need to quarantine on arrival in Rome at the end of September/beginning of October. As the trip is only for 5 days in Rome a 5 day quarantine would mean we should reschedule.

I can't find clear guidance on this on any of the Italian government web pages. Except for our 10yo all of us are vaccinated and will be antigen tested prior to our flights. We will fill out the locator form as required. Just want to be sure we have the opportunity to explore while there and not quarantine confined.

US/Mexico restrictions to Italy

If I was to hypothetically go to Mexico and fly back a few days before my flight to Italy on a "COVID Tested" flight, will I run into issues? On their form, I would have to note that I have been to Mexico in the last 14 days prior. I am contemplating dates for both, though I'll certainly cancel Mexico for Italy.

I can't figure out how this restriction would work or if it would interfere with my ability to travel to Italy.

(Fully vaccinated here.)

dPLF status

Hi folks. Quick question I just filled out the digital form for me, my wife, and my two sons for an upcoming trip the other day on the website. Many steps for sure but actually not too bad. The status still just says “submitted”. Is that the final status or does that mean it’s under review and I should be hearing something else back. I just don’t wanna show up and find out that there was a problem with the form any help appreciated. Right now I have two hardcopies print it out to be able to present upon request but again the status is submitted so I’m just trying to make sure there’s not another status be on that like “approved”

Cheers
