Covid anigen tests in South of Tuscany/ Montepulciano

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to Montepulciana, South of Tuscany, for a long weekend 9-12 Sep and need an antigen test within 48hrs before I fly back to the UK. Can anymore give advice on where I might be able to get this? I've searched on Google with no luck!

Thank you

Covid Test to fly back to UK

Hello currently in Viareggio and need to book a Covid test to fly back to the UK, it can be a rapid antigen test as long as the certificate is in English and it meets certain specificity criteria’s which most of these tests do. Can anyone advise a place to get the test booked please? Thank you

PCR or Antigen test to leave Italy

I was told on a post on here last night from someone who travelled back from Italy last week that you had to have a PCR test (and only that) to be able to leave Italy.

That a rapid antigen test was not sufficient and people were turned away from flights back to England .

I can not find anything about this online. I have tried ringing the Italian covid hotline and they say they can't understand English!!! I'm really stuck with what to do as I have already arranged return tests at Naples airport 3 hours before flight and I am worried this won't be enough.

Chicago Area Molec. PCR or Antigen/AG Test for COVID Flight

I am traveling to Rome next week on a COVID 19 Flight on United Airlines. Does anybody know where in the Chicago area I can get one of the approved tests with under 48 hours turnaround time? The United app says it has to be a Molecular PCR or Antigen/AG test. The TrustAssure website from United is not very helpful and we have been struggling to find a place to schedule an appointment for the correct test. Thank you!

Questions for extended stay in Tuscany

Hello, this is my first post on TripAdvisor.

I'm considering taking an extended trip to Tuscany in the fall, assuming the Covid situation is under control. I'm studying Italian and I'd like to spend some time immersed so increase my fluency in the language, and I'm seeing some great monthly rates on AirBnB for apartments and homes.

I guess I need advice on locations that are good for this sort of endeavor. Are there any towns around Tuscany that are particularly welcoming to extended visitors? Any to avoid? How is Florence outside of the touristy center? I know this is all very vague but I'm not sure of the right questions to ask. I guess I'm looking for safe, welcoming, near public transport and some sort of community, whether a town or a city, with lots of nice things to see and eat in walking distance. Any advice from someone who has done something similar would be welcome.

Thanks!

Ease of logistics

Hello everyone

Thanks for any help you can provide with this planning query. We plan to visit 4 places over 10 days late March next year. For few different reasons we have to do those 4 places and have only 10 days. Therefore I am looking for the best/efficient way to get these places. Our flight in and out is from Rome. We need to visit friends/ business in Venice, Tuscany and Naples. My initial thought was to stay in Rome for couple of days then travel to Venice then Tuscany , Naples and back to Rome via direct train. But wanted to see if we should instead travel first to Venice, then Tuscany, Naples and finally Rome to make the flight out easier? We are hoping to take flights and train but could get a car if need be especially thinking of Tuscany. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Italy accepting the UK NHS Covid tests?

Just wondering if the Italian airports are accepting the UK NHS Covid tests, whether it's the free antigen or the PCR tests that the NHS offers the public. I know the NHS tests are not designed for international travel, but it would good to know if Italy accepts them in case UK travelers are in possession of a negative NHS Covid result 48 hours before travel, perhaps if they wrongly had suspected they had symptoms or are a key worker etc.

PCR Test on Easter Weekend

Hello,

I am planning on visiting Palermo during Easter i.e. from 3rd April (Sat) till 6th April (Tue). I need a PCR test result before returning back to France (taken less than 72h). From what I understand only Antigen tests are provided at Palermo Airport for arrival passengers.

Is there a test centre which will remain open on Easter Sunday ? If yes, do I need to take an appointment or can I just show up and stand in a queque ?

Any information will be highly appreciated.
