Road Trip from UK to Italy

I am in the process of planning a vacation for my self and 2 adult daughters. We all have received the COVID vaccine. We would like to travel to the south of Italy, Will tourist attractions be open? can we travel freely from one province to another? Are restaurants open?

I will also be visiting my elderly aunt while there, so as of now we meet the criteria for entry into Italy.

From what I have read on the embassy sites, a vaccinated US citizen can travel to Italy, I see "Last updated: 05/25/2021 Travelers departing on COVID-tested international flights between the United States and Italy are not currently subject to quarantine upon arrival in Italy. I see the same thing for Greece. But once I've traveled from the USA to Italy and then from Italy to Greece, will Greece have an issue with me because I am not flying direct to Greece? Hoping somebody can guide me to where I can find out if our 10yo will need to quarantine on arrival in Rome at the end of September/beginning of October. As the trip is only for 5 days in Rome a 5 day quarantine would mean we should reschedule.

I can't find clear guidance on this on any of the Italian government web pages. Except for our 10yo all of us are vaccinated and will be antigen tested prior to our flights. We will fill out the locator form as required. Just want to be sure we have the opportunity to explore while there and not quarantine confined.

Hoping for some guidance please, we are set to travel to Italy from UK to holiday on our friends privately owned yacht at sea so will only be transiting through Italy on Arrival and then when leaving, as will be at sea the rest of the time. We are both vaccinated and will be doing the required passenger locator/ PCR test prior to arrival.

My question is though, do we have to do the initial 5 day quarantine if we are not going to be on land and won't have an address, and not sure who to contact is its not a charter boat but privately owned by our friends.

The green pass will be made available to visitors who are fully vaccinated with an EU-approved vaccine, those who have recently recovered from COVID-19, or individuals who have tested negative 48 hours prior to entry in Italy. The green pass grants visitors exemptions to current restrictions such as obligatory quarantine upon arrival or limitations on traveling in between certain regions whilst on a private yacht charter in Italy.

why italy is not? it still says 10 days quarantine rule! I am flying next week and still so much uncertainty! Any clue when and if italy will change quarantine requirements soon?

We are looking to fly from London to Istanbul in late-July and returning in early/mid-August. We're a group of 6 - 5 of us are fully vaccinated, and the other is aged 17, therefore unvaccinated.

Unfortunately, direct flights have skyrocketed in price, and one convenient option contains a booking operated by Alitalia and Pegasus Airlines - luckily all under one booking, albeit it will be a travel agency booking.

The outbound flight will be arriving in Milan Linate, and departing from Bergamo on the following day (with a layover of about 17 hours). The return journey has a 20 hour overnight layover in Rome.

As British travellers, I understand that Italy have imposed a 5 day quarantine until 30 July, but given our travel plans (with proof that can be provided), would we be required to also self-isolate, or is our layover an exception that can permit us to simply check into a hotel and continue with our journey the next day?

My wife and I are traveling to Italy in September for our 25th wedding anniversary. We will be in Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan. I do not want to "stick out" like a tourist. In addition to the obvious - not carrying around a massive backpack and having a camera around my neck at all times, what would you suggest? Are shorts and white tennis shoes still a no-no? Should we wear jeans or comfortable long pants instead? What shoes would you recommend? I have some dress shoes that are very comfortable and would be happy to walk all over Italy with them.

An article in La Repubblica a few days ago says that starting in 2022 Venice will impose a tourist tax. I know this has been discussed for several years so it's not terribly surprising, what got me was the description of tourist behavior this summer that finally kicked officials into action.

Hi, does someone know if quarantine rules still apply to the double-vaccinated who arrived from UK before 31August? We entered Sicily on the 29th and wondered if we still have to stay in and test on day 6. There is no information regarding those who arrived between ordinances it would be absurd that some of the UK double-vaccinated to travel freely and others to continue to quarantine for 5 days and take further tests.

My wife and I hope to enter Italy next week and dont fully understand the current rules.

We are Australian Passport Holders, full vaccinated more then 14 days ago (one Astra Zeneca and one Sinovac). We have been in Indonesia before traveling to Europe and our last 17 days ahve been 5 days in Turkey and now 12 days in Croatia. We will travel directly from Croatia to Italy.

Can we enter Italy quarantine free? If not, would extending to 14 days in Croatia help and/or would having a current PCR test be required or helpful.

Thanks for any helpful advice as much of the online information refers to EU citizens or is a little hard to decipher.
