Travel from Sardinia to Nice

Hello!

I am planning a trip to Sardinia and Nice for 3 weeks next summer from the United States and am wondering if it's easiest to fly directly to Sardinia from the states (via Rome) as I'm having a difficult time finding travel from Nice to Sardinia that doesn't waste a day. Does anyone have experience with this type of itinerary? I can do Nice at the beginning or end of the trip and am trying to figure out what would be the easiest. Thank you!

Has anyone stayed at an RCI timeshare property?

My husband and I are traveling to Sardinia for the first time in July 2022. We only have a few days to spend on Sardinia before moving on to the next leg of our trip. We have the option of staying at an RCI timeshare property. Was wondering if anyone has stayed at an RCI property on Sardinia and what your experience has been. We would also like to be near the sea as much of our time will be spent at the beach. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Sardinia or Croatia

Hi everyone

We are a couple planning a summer trip and struggling to decide between Sardinia and Croatia. We are looking for a quiet beach vacation, that is not too crowded with tourists, and has hiking options. I would love to hear your opinion.

Thanks:)

First Time in Sardinia

Hello Everyone,

So we are trying to plan a trip to Sardinia this September. We are coming from the US what are the requirements for us to be able to enter? Do we still need to wear a mask indoors? Thanks in advance.

Getting a PCR Covid test in north Sardinia for return to UK

Much the same as when entering Sardinia, the UK requires evidence of a negative PCR test within 3 days of the flight back to the UK. We're still hoping to stay at Hotel la Bisaccia in Baja in north east Sardinia, any ideas how far I'll need to travel to get the PCR test? I expect it'll be a minimum of a hire car journey to Olbia?

We have been in Italy for two weeks, still need Covid test?

We are planning on going to Sardinia upcoming Sunday from Genoa. We arrived in Italy two weeks ago with a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test from the Netherlands (out home country). Do we need another certificate to enter Sardinia by boat?

We travel with our camper. We are both not vaccinated and did not have COVID-19 in the past.

Anyone been/planning a holiday to Sardinia from UK?

We’ve got one booked for first week of July in the North near Santa Theresa. Looks like Sardinia will still be on the UK’s amber list by then. Can’t decide whether to go anyway and pay for all the covid tests or to abandon this year. Any thoughts? Anyone been from the UK recently and if so what was your experience?

Sardina. Snorkling, cosy village, accessable beaches. Where?

I am going two weeks to Sardinia week 30/31 with my family (kids 11 and 17). We want to stay two different places that needs a pool. Not hotel, but cosy places (Airbnb ect). The area must be close to good beaches for snorkling, but it has to be accessable by car. We cant do long hikes with our 11 years boy.

Which area of Sardinia can you recommend out there ?

Keywords

• Want to stay a cosy place with pool in a nice small town where we by foot can visit small reastaurants ect.

• Not to far from good beaches. We hire a car, but we don’t want to drive more than an hour to reach beaches ect.

• Good beaches, with good opportunities to snorkel (not only sand 😊)

• Which area og Sardinia is best. East, northeast, south….?

Thanks 😊

5 week Trip Plan

We are planning 5 weeks in Italy next Sept! We will be going to Rome,Tuscany,Cinque Terre,Venice and Amalfi Coast.

Which would be the best direction of places to go? We do not want our last week in Rome as we prefer Rome in the beginning of the trip! Which would be the best last place to be other than Rome for easiest access to a departure airport. Thanks

Preliminary Itinerary trip fro Rome-Florence-Venice-Rome

Hi Everyone,

Re-planning my postponed trip from 2020 this year. I seem to have forgotten all the valuable tips I had received for my previously planned trip. Is August a bad time to travel in terms of closures and holidays? Since I have nothing book yet, would it be better to travel in September instead?

I am thinking the following itinerary for now:

Aug 5-10-Roma

Aug 10-13-Florence with day trips to Sienna, Pisa?

Aug 13-15-Venice

Aug 15-16-Train back to Rome and fly home.

Is this too ambitious?

Will be travelling on a Covid tested flight in and out from Rome from Canada

Destination Advice

Hi,

We are spending some time in Sardinia and have a few days spare en route from Alghero to Cagliari.

Can anyone advise on a nice place between the two for which to spend 3/4 nights?

We will be travelling by public transport between the two so we need it to be easily accessible by train/bus.

All tips appreciated!

Thanks!
