experts we are planning a trip to Cinque this fall and rather than taking the train connection from Rome etc. We are thinking of renting a car parking it for our stay in Vernazza. Given we are 3 it would elevate the headache of luggage thru trains even though we are traveling light and gives us freedom in terms of arriving leaving etc. Any suggestions from experts?
We are headed to Italy in September for a wedding in Amalfi. We are staying in Rome for 2 days before heading down there and we’ll stay there for 4 nights as she has 3 events planned. We are leaving Amalfi on the 14th back to Rome for another 3 days before we fly out. My question is there a day trip recommendations on our way back to Rome? We are planning on taking the ferry to Salerno and than train to Rome. We will have our luggage with us. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Experts flying into Rome at 745am arrival. then and catching a Trenitalia to Vernazza question. Given these uncertain time and capacity on train It is a Friday in September should I buy the tickets in advance now? The train departure would be at Noon which is 4 hours after my arrival and should give me more than amble time to travel to Termini to get the train. Thoughts?
Hello - we are staying in Rome and Venice and would like to take a short day trip to Pisa on the way. Traveling with luggage is obviously the problem. Ideally, the thought is to take the train from Rome to Pisa, store our luggage SAFELY at the train station, see the leaning tower, have lunch, then come back to the station to retrieve our luggage and jump on a train to Venice. All sounds good in theory… but is there actually a safe, secure place to store our luggage while we do the Pisa day exploring?

My best friend and I have rented an apartment in Rome for 3 weeks beginning Oct 1.
We're thinking of visiting Cinque Terre for a couple of nights and will be taking a train or other transportation between Rome and CT.
We are both in our 60's, I'm in excellent health, my friend is in good health. I do have a fear of heights & drop offs but we want to do some hiking while in the area.
Can you advise me the best way to travel from Rome?
Where do you recommend we stay and hike that will allow us hiking, taking into account my height fears.

Re-planning my postponed trip from 2020 this year. I seem to have forgotten all the valuable tips I had received for my previously planned trip. Is August a bad time to travel in terms of closures and holidays? Since I have nothing book yet, would it be better to travel in September instead?
I am thinking the following itinerary for now:
Aug 5-10-Roma
Aug 10-13-Florence with day trips to Sienna, Pisa?
Aug 13-15-Venice
Aug 15-16-Train back to Rome and fly home.
Is this too ambitious?

Hey there. We are planning a trip to Italy (and Paris) next June. We are bringing our DDs, first timers to Europe, ages 21 and 16. I’ve been reading through itineraries, guide books, youtube videos of Italy and getting so excited. We have limited time (only 10 nights in Italy) and we are packing in A LOT I know. We are considering using Zicasso or another company to make the most of our time, especially since we are trying to do so much...Here’s our latest itinerary so far. My husband and I will be arriving in Florence on November 30 after 4 nights in Rome. On our trip booked for last September we were planning one night in Siena at an Agriturismo. Now that we are coming during late Fall would you recommend just staying 4 nights Rome/4 nights Florence and just taking a day trip to Siena/Tuscany? Is there anything still growing or in bloom in late November? I already have a voucher for 2 nights at San Firenze Suites but have not rebooked with them yet.

We are traveling to Rome for 3 days and then we are off to the Amalfi Coast. We have been to Rome 2x so I would like to spend a night in a unique city/villa in the countryside between Rome and Amalfi. Any suggestions? I would love to stay in an old castle. We will need to travel by train
We will be Italy for 2 weeks. We will be traveling from Rome to Sienna (one day), Florence , Venice and back to Rome. Is it better to get a pass for the trains for the duration or buy the train tickets individually? Thank you.
