Internet speed in Aeolian Islands

Hi,

Slightly strange question, but we are looking to work remotely from the Aeolian Islands in September but are very reliant on good internet to support video calls. I appreciate all internet will be dependent on the hotel / apartment we are staying in, but do you know if the internet connection generally on Lipari and Salina are reliable and fast?

Thanks,

Suzi

Has anyone used the https://www.lowcostsicilia.it/ website to book an apartment? I found a great apartment on AirBnb and can book directly with https://www.lowcostsicilia.it/ to save but hope to hear positive feedback first. Thanks!

Vaccinated US citizens entering from Romania and Greece

My husband and I are vaccinated US citizens and have been traveling around for several weeks now. We started in Greece, then made our way to Romania last Monday. We will be heading to Rome on Wednesday. We know US tourists can travel to Italy for tourist reasons now (until July 30th?), but we want to clear up any possible issues in being in both Greece and Romania recently.

On the US embassy website (https://it.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/), it points out two forms I think we have to fill out before entry: this self declaration form (https://www.esteri.it/mae/resource/doc/2020/08/modulo_rientro_da_estero__26_08_20_inglese.pdf) and this EU digital passport locator form (https://app.euplf.eu/#/).

My questions a

1) Do we still have to fill out these forms if we are coming from the EU (Romania)?

2) Does the self declaration form need to be printed off and filled out? Or can we fill it in as a PDF on a computer and save it to show at the airport?

3) How soon will these forms need to be filled out? I know that in Greece the PLF needed to be filled out more than 24 hours before the flight. Is that the case with these forms?

4) Is the "until July 30, 2021" date just a precaution in case cases spike again? Like is it likely they will just extend this deadline, or will we more likely need to make our way out on the 30th?

5) Is there anything else I am missing? I know we got stamped in and out of Greece/Romania because Romania isn't part of the Schengen area; are there any other issues with entering back into the Schengen area?

Thanks in advance for the help! We are used to traveling quite a bit pre-covid and only worrying about visas; covid adds a whole new stress.

Stadio Olimpico

Hello,

I am in Rome next week, and would like to visit the olimpico stadium. I can't find a guided tour anywhere on the internet, is there anything like it anywhere on offer?

Or is it possible to enter the stadium without a guide. Unfortunately next week there are no matches :(

Looking for a calm/small village in Italy to stay

Hello Internet,

I live in Europe and I am planning to stay for a week in a small village in Italy. I want to be able to rest, enjoy the view, read and most importantly write. I am looking for a village that is small (but with a few cafés ?) and beautiful. Do you guys have any idea where I could go? I am open to anything

US/Mexico restrictions to Italy

If I was to hypothetically go to Mexico and fly back a few days before my flight to Italy on a "COVID Tested" flight, will I run into issues? On their form, I would have to note that I have been to Mexico in the last 14 days prior. I am contemplating dates for both, though I'll certainly cancel Mexico for Italy.

I can't figure out how this restriction would work or if it would interfere with my ability to travel to Italy.

(Fully vaccinated here.)

Tre Cime for almost nonhikers

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a short hike around or near Tre Cime (knee issues can only hike an hour or two -not the four hours required for the best hike)

Can you recommend where to start and any info on the hike🙏.

If not is there a cable car or a way to drive to the best view point.

Thank you so much!
