Flights to Venise.

Hi all, does anyone have any info on flights into Venise please ? I am trying to book a holiday in Abano and Padova, but can’t find any flights at all to Venise from Nice France. I know there are trains, but I’m 70 with a large suitcase and a very bad back problem. Thanks so much.

Covid-tested flights from NY to Venice

When I found out that Italy would be open to Americans on covid-tested flights I was so excited that I booked a ticket using my eCredit for October. Little did I know that the flights had to be marked covid-tested on Delta's website, which this one wasn't. Yesterday I looked at the website only to find flights marked covid-tested on the very day I'm leaving. I called Delta and the representative told me covid-tested flights aren't available yet. I said I was looking at one at that moment but she said she didn't have any available yet and to check back in July when the JFK-VCE route will be posted. I'm so confused! Does anyone have any insights? Thanks

Passenger Locator Forms (PLF) for entering Italy

Hi, everyone! I'd really like some help please!

Next month, I shall be flying to Rome from my home on the Greek island of Crete for a few days. I have read the notes re the PLF on the Italian Government website & am a bit confused.

I've completed PLF forms before with no problem, but I have had direct flights to & from the UK. This time, I'll be travelling from my local airport at Chania, to Athens Airport, where I have to change flights to fly into FCO.

So, my question is for anyone living in the EU who has changed flights in the country where they live, then flown into Italy. For instance, if you live in France you might have had to fly from your local airport to Paris to get the flight to Italy.

So, my question is : did you complete the PLF stating both flights, or only the one into Italy? Did you have any problems & did you make the right decision?

Thanks very much!

Predictions After 30th August

My partner & I are due to fly September 4th spending a week on the Amalfi Coast. I know impossible to say but what percentage wise do you think Italy will lift restrictions for UK citizens? I have booked a hotel in Croatia as a back up but it means then swapping flights 5 days before travel. Either way its such a pain as I could change to Croatia now then Italy lifts restrictions (sods law) or keep to Italy hoping things change but then run the risk of no availability for flights to Croatia at last minute or expensive. However there is still availability on flights for Croatia in August so should be fine to book at last minute for September. Taking a gamble!

Flying from Ireland to park albatros

Hi we are considering this park for June 2022.

Can anyone tell me what days you can fly to Pisa from Shannon/Cork/Dublin? Hoping to fly late June but can’t book it until I know the flights will match.

Delta PCR Test Info & COVID Tested Flights

If you are planning on traveling on a COVID tested flight ticketed by Delta: the DL website is pretty thorough with info and steps to take regarding advance PCR tests and day of departure procedures. Take a look at the page and choose your applicable route and departure date category: https://www.delta.com/us/en/travel-planning-center/know-before-you-go/italy-covid-tested-flights

Beware… rapid-result PCR tests are not cheap. IME the cost can range from USD 150 to USD 300+

I hope you all make your arrangements correctly so that you will be able to board on your scheduled departure date.

Travelling to Sicily

What is the situation at the moment when travelling to Sicily Palermo airport from the UK and back for a holiday. For fully vaccinated people what else do they need to do. Is the process easy. I have looked on many sites with regards to tests and it's mind boggling. Also I have read about a free test centre in Palermo airport. I am hoping to book a week's trip to Trapani to visit friends. Getting the tests before departure and when you come back especially with early morning flights seems so complicated. Has anyone done this trip.

Flights to Catania, worth driving to pallermo?

Hi everyone, I'm about to book flights to Catania for me and my girlfriend, it's roughly 3 hours flight from where I currently am.

We're meant to arrive on Wednesday around 8pm and return on Sunday at 5pm which gives us roughly 3.5 days.

Were really not so picky when traveling and often prefer to avoid tourist traps so Sicily sounds ideal. Catania destination form our location.

However, a good freind of mine who has been all over Sicily strongly suggested to hire a care and drive to Pallermo and spend three days there instead, which can be done in 3 hours.

Given that we only have three days im wondering if its worth spending 5-6 hours in total driving back and forth?

One one hand, our last day on Sunday we can wake up early and drive back but I'd rather hang out stress free, on the other hand pallermo seems to be a better deistanation according to my freind. general travel guides/blogs etc.

Hopefully one of you can be kind enough and advise? Would any of you do the drive in the 3-4 days?

Flying back to US

Advice for a month-long visit?

We had a short stay in Modena a few years ago, and we (American couple in their 60’s) decided we wanted to go back and stay a month.

We plan to rent an apartment and spend our days exploring. Hoping to find a nice market and buy fresh food to make some of our own meals, but want to try a lot of restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

We could rent a car, but haven’t decided on that - we’re thinking bicycles and walking and busses or trains for most of the stay.

Any advice? We’re thinking May/June, but are flexible.

Jazz scene in the Med

Hello! I wasn’t sure where to post this but thought this would be a good start! I’m really into old school jazz (Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Coltrane, etc.) and as I’m about to move to Mallorca on a freelance business visa, thought to ask which cities in the Med have a great jazz scene? I see Palma has one or two…curious about the rest of southern Spain, France, Italy, Malta etc. Would love any insight! Beaches and jazz are of equal importance to me but often they don’t go together! 😄
