recommended guided tours in Piedmont?

Any advice on wine/food tours without a car? The tours seem to be very pricey but I guess this is to be expected. Grazie in advance!

Does anyone knows when Coopculture will open the Full experience guided tours of the colosseum for October 2021?

Hello and thanks in advance. We are going on a cruise in October that does not have enough Italy so want to fly over Early (6-7 days) and get a VRBO or Air BnB and take day trips and do day experiences.. Do you think we will be ok? If we book tours will we be able to navigate getting to where they meet? Will we make out ok in grocery stores? DO they have or do we need Uber or something similar? Are there areas to look for or avoid when seeking housing?Any suggestions or tips of things to do or day tours from Naples would be appreciated- especially ones you have done. Thanks so much- I know I have asked a lot of questions..any answers to any questions greatly appreciated.

PS. We have been to Tuscany area before and some other cities so decided to base here. Might be interested in a cooking experience one day if anyone wants to guide us on that as well

Hello my friend and I (late 30's) would like to spend 8 to 10 days end of July in Ischia, it is the 1st holiday since 2 years, so we need to relax and destress from work and Covid. We will be flying from Munich, no car in Italy.

- Is the period too long?

- Is it easy to reach by ferry and move around the island by bus?

- Can you recommend a hotel with beach access?

- If a hotel is not having beach access, how easy it is to access public beaches around the Island? Are there any Covid capacity restrictions?

- Shall we opt for an all inclusive or half board option at the hotel or it is easy to go dine outside? Using Public transport?

- What other recommendations do you have? (wine tours, boat tours etc…)

Hi I saw the news unfolded today on the current situation with the Coronavirus in Italy. We have already booked our flights and accommodation for our 3 week itinerary 9-27 Apr to Rome, Sorrento/ Positano, Venice, Bologna, Parma, Cinque T, Florence, and Tuscany. We are travelling on our own (not following tours) and have booked a few bike tours in the major cities like Rome and Florence.

Advice needed to help us decide to cancel trip or just go with it. Thanks

We are heading to Rome in September and would like to get a combo ticket that includes Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill. Is it best to do these self-guided or guided? We know some things have changed due to Covid and so we are wondering if anyone can offer help on the best combo ticket, guided or self-guided, that is currently available for these places.

Just booked our first trip to Sicily and will spend 7 nights in mid-November 2021. I realize not enough time, so looking to probably focus on the eastern part of the island and fly into Catania. Have some questions to help with planning

1)Thinking of spending around 3 nights in the Syracuse, Noto, Modica area. Which city/town is the best place to stay and explore from there? Planning to most likely do local buses to explore during the day

2) We'd like to spend 2 to 3 nights in the Mount Etna area and possibly stay in Taormina for part of it. Thinking of renting a car from Catania for this part of our trip. If not, anyone have a tour group they recommend for tours of Mount Etna.

3) We hate to miss Palermo, but realize with only a week you need to make choices. Will there be get similar food markets in Catania to those you find in Palermo.

4) We would not to spend a day sampling wines and wondering which region to target in the areas we plan to visit.

I’m coming in through Milan, picking up a rental car to drive around Piedmont. We fly in/out of Milan and dropping our rental car before a couple days before we fly back to avoid car return stress on the day we fly back.

Instead of heading to the city, it appears Omenga is the same distance from MXP as Milan city center and planning to spend last 2 nights there.

. Any advice on ease of getting a taxi to the airport? Or am i best to just add a day to Piedmont the stay at an airport area hotel the last day? I hate to be in an airport hotel, but not feeling like going into Milan at the end of the trip.

We are scheduled to fly from the US to Rome, travel within Italy to Venice and Sorrento. We are fully vaccinated. Aside from safety our question is: are the museums, restaurants, tours expected to be open or has diminished tourism forced a reduction in available attractions? My mother and I will be taking a trip to Sicily to look into some family history in Bisacquino. We would like to hire a private tour for our 4 days in Sicily, preferably someone that can assist us with our genealogy search. I have done a lot of research on our family in Bisacquino and have been able to fill out a family tree going back several generations. However, we would like to add some color to my research and possibly find relatives or anything relevant to our family history. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
