PCR Test on Easter Weekend

Hello,

I am planning on visiting Palermo during Easter i.e. from 3rd April (Sat) till 6th April (Tue). I need a PCR test result before returning back to France (taken less than 72h). From what I understand only Antigen tests are provided at Palermo Airport for arrival passengers.

Is there a test centre which will remain open on Easter Sunday ? If yes, do I need to take an appointment or can I just show up and stand in a queque ?

Any information will be highly appreciated.

Palermo covid testing

Hi all,

Firstly does anyone know any centres open on a Sunday? Does anyone know if you can do the day 5(day 6 morning) test to get out of quarantine at the airport? Lastly, does anyone know a reliable centre to get the return to the UK PCR test?

Any info would be great!

Travelling to Sicily

What is the situation at the moment when travelling to Sicily Palermo airport from the UK and back for a holiday. For fully vaccinated people what else do they need to do. Is the process easy. I have looked on many sites with regards to tests and it's mind boggling. Also I have read about a free test centre in Palermo airport. I am hoping to book a week's trip to Trapani to visit friends. Getting the tests before departure and when you come back especially with early morning flights seems so complicated. Has anyone done this trip.

Covid test required if transiting only via Italian airport ?

I am planning to fly from the UK to Egypt via a transit flight at Milan Malpensa airport. If I remain within Malpensa airport for just a few hours, before catching my flight to Sharm EL Sheikh, would I need a negative Covid test certificate on arrival at Malpensa or is it not necessary? Egypt allows you to take a PCR test on arrival at the Red Sea airports such as Sharm, Hurghada etc for only $30, which is much cheaper than PCR tests in the UK.

Covid Test on Arrival at Catania Airport

I'm aware that Sicily requires a covid test upon arrival from US, and have seen the information for Palermo airport but unable to find information on Catania airport.

Car rental: pickup in Palermo, return at Palermo Airport?

We'll be spending four nights car-free in Palermo in mid-September, then heading to San Vito Lo Capo for another four nights. We'd like to pick up a car in Palermo and then return it to the Palermo airport. Is this the best strategy, or is it best to make the trip to the airport for the pickup as well? Any tips on car rental companies much appreciated.

PCR or Antigen test to leave Italy

I was told on a post on here last night from someone who travelled back from Italy last week that you had to have a PCR test (and only that) to be able to leave Italy.

That a rapid antigen test was not sufficient and people were turned away from flights back to England .

I can not find anything about this online. I have tried ringing the Italian covid hotline and they say they can't understand English!!! I'm really stuck with what to do as I have already arranged return tests at Naples airport 3 hours before flight and I am worried this won't be enough.

Do I need PCR/HAT test when returning from Greece

Hello

We would like to go to Greece last 10 days in June and ask for yours help. My question is:

1. do I need a PCR or HAT negative test for the return flight from Preveza to Italy. We will fly with Volotea. I'm a resident of Slovenia. After landing at the airport I will pick up my car at the parking and driving back to Slovenia.

2. do I need any test before flying to Greece to show to the airline representative at Venice airport?

I know that that I must log in to the Italian application before entering Italy at departure and arrival.

Kind regards

Covid Test to fly back to UK

Hello currently in Viareggio and need to book a Covid test to fly back to the UK, it can be a rapid antigen test as long as the certificate is in English and it meets certain specificity criteria’s which most of these tests do. Can anyone advise a place to get the test booked please? Thank you
